Last night, Brett Kissel picked up 2 Edmonton Music Awards – Male Artist of the Year and Country Album of the Year for his major label debut Started With A Song.

Brett’s mom accepted on his behalf, receiving tremendous applause from the crowd after saying, “Brett thinks it all STARTED WITH A SONG, but that’s not correct. Truthfully, it ALL STARTED WITH A MOM!”

The win comes two weeks after Brett’s big weekend in Winnipeg, where he won his first Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
