KISSEL ROCKS NEW YEAR’S EVE IN EDMONTON! – December 31, 2022

On New Year’s Eve, Brett Kissel rocked a crowd of nearly 10,000 people, at the Ice District in Edmonton, following the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets match up on Hockey Night In Canada.

Kissel performed a signature show to an electrified audience to ring in 2023, in what the Oilers Entertainment Group explained was, “the biggest crowd we’ve ever had at the Ice District”.

Prior to the fireworks, Kissel also sang the National anthem on the nationwide broadcast of Hockey Night In Canada at centre ice in Rogers Place, and went viral on twitter for what hockey fans called, “one of the best anthems ever.”

Following the national anthem, Kissel joined Sportsnet’s Gene Principe as the color commentator and guest hockey analyst on the entire broadcast, getting rave reviews from Toronto’s lead anchor – Ron MacLean.

“If Kissel ever decides to come after our jobs, we all better look out.  The kid isn’t just a country singer.  He could be a real analyst,” MacLean joked to co-anchors Kevin Bieksa and Kelly Hrudey.

During the concert, Kissel announced on stage his plans for his brand new ‘Compass Project’ album, which is a four (4) album package, set for release on January 27th.
