CCMA AWARDS’S MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR TAKES THE RYMAN STAGE FOR 4 SHOWS THIS MONTH

One year after making his debut at Grand Ole Opry, Brett Kissel has been invited to return to Nashville’s legendary stage for four performances – two on Saturday, Nov. 12, and two on Saturday, Nov. 19 – this time at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

The Opry has aired since 1925, and started broadcasting from the Ryman in 1943. The show moved to The Grand Ole Opry House in 1974, but returns to the Ryman for three months every winter, recognizing the show’s roots.

Brett crossed off his No. 1 goal from his bucket list in the summer of 2015 when he took his place inside the legendary sacred circle on the Grand Ole Opry stage – which became the subject of the documentary that premiered at film festivals in Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton.

In September, Canadian Press called Brett the “New King of Country” after he took home four trophies at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, including Male Artist of the Year and Fan’s Choice.
