BRETT KISSELíS 2015 SUMMER TOUR ñ A HUGE SUCCESS!
NASHVILLE – Country star Brett Kissel just wrapped up his summer tour last weekend as thousands of hearty Canadian fans showed up in the sleet, the rain, and the howling wind to watch the 4 x CCMA nominated singer entertain in Clear Lake, Manitoba, tucked in the Riding Mountain National Park.
The annual event hosted by Parks Canada was Kissel’s final stop on his summer tour before he steps on the stage at the world famous Grand Ole Opry on August 29th.
Starting in May, with the Calgary Stampede’s annual Coca Cola Covert Stage announcement concert, Kissel performed across Canada, playing 29 concerts at some of the nation’s largest music festivals and fairs.
“It was the best summer of my life,” commented Kissel. “The crowds got bigger, the stages got better, and the entire 4 month tour – although exhausting – was the most fun I’ve ever had!”
The fall touring schedule is getting busier for Kissel, as he still has a number of tour dates left in September that include stops in Toronto, Sydney, Vancouver, Smithers, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, where the Canadian Country Music Awards are being held.
September Tour Dates:
September 1 – Toronto, ON – CTV’s Canada AM
September 2 – Toronto, ON – The Canadian National Exhibition
September 4 – Sydney, BC – The Mary Winspear Theatre
September 5 – Vancouver, BC – The Pacific National Exhibition
September 6 – Smithers, BC – Telkwa Annual BBQ
September 10 – Halifax, NS – Canadian Country Music Awards
September 11 – Halifax, NS – Canadian Country Music Awards
September 12 – Halifax, NS – Fan Fest at the Canadian Country Music Awards
September 13 – Halifax, NS – The Canadian Country Music Awards Broadcast LIVE on CBC
An estimated 500,000 people have already come out to see Kissel perform his hits all summer long, including the brand new, smash single “Airwaves” which has recently entered the Top 10 at Country Radio, making it Kissel’s 6th consecutive Top 10 record. The new album, Pick Me Up, featuring “Airwaves” and other impressive tracks, will be available on Friday, September 11th, across Canada.
The Flat Lake, Alberta native is now gearing up for his 40-date “Airwaves Tour” that will hit every single province this fall starting in October, and wrapping up at the end of November.
“I’m so proud of my band and the work they’ve done this summer,” said Kissel. “It’s going to be a tour we’ll never forget. But now that the summer season is officially behind us, I can safely say that we are all looking forward to performing on our Airwaves Tour this fall.”
