Brett Kissel to headline 2014 Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree

Mr. John Cameron, President of John Cameron Entertainment is pleased to announce that this year’s Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree special guest is none other than Canada’s hottest country singer Brett Kissel!

Brett is coming off a huge weekend at the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) in Edmonton this past weekend where he took home 2 awards after, being nominated for a record breaking eight awards.

These awards include CMT Video of the Year and Interactive Artist of the Year.

Add these honours to several other music industry awards Brett has taken home this year: two Canadian Music Week awards; two Canadian Country Music Association awards; Association of Country Music in Alberta Awards, including Rising Star and Single of the year; Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Country Album of the Year (Started with a Song) at Canada’s Juno Awards this past spring.

Currently Brett is about to go on the road as the first ever Canadian country singer opening act for Superstar Brad Paisley.

Simply put, according to John Cameron, “nobody is hotter in Canada’s vibrant music scene than Brett Kissel!”

Cameron adds “I’ve been watching this young man develop for the past few years and so proud that he is joining our wonderful show. Our mandate is to not only entertain people and to raise funds for the community but to expose as much ‘local’ talent as possible. Brett’s a few steps past that with his incredible achievements this year and it’s simply perfect timing for all of us.”

“I was so honoured when John Cameron asked me to part of this Broadway quality show,” says Brett. “I’ve attended in the past with my parents and my wife, and walked away very impressed. After the year I’ve been having, this is truly a way for me to pay it forward to a city that has been so very good for me!”

Brett will join over 200 performers in the show, including the 150 person choir in the world’s largest Singing Christmas tree; some of Edmonton’s finest musicians, and the legendary Dancing Santa Claus’s in addition to the wide array of other talented performers in our show – plus several ‘surprises’ for the audience.

The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree will feature five performances at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium Thursday, Thursday, December 18th through Sunday, December 21st, 2014.
