Sells out in twelve hours – additional tickets released.

Who says you can’t go home?  When Canadian kid Brett Kissel announced a concert under the stars in the old ballpark in his hometown of St. Paul, Alberta this June 18th, the expectations were that the show would be a hit.  Well, one day into ticket sales the show is not only a hit… the first wave is a sell-out.

Retailers’ doors were lined up hours before the 10:00am launch time and fans were logged onto the official event website – www.brettkisselhometown.com – eagerly awaiting their chance to take in the go-to event of the summer.

Twelve hours.  2000 tickets.  Gone.

The Lakeland is ready to rock…and so is the Juno Award winning country star. 

Kissel, who wrote these words on his Facebook page while on tour in Quebec City:

‘Wow is all I can say.  I can’t even describe how grateful I am, and how excited I’m feeling for this show.  To have the first wave of tickets sell-out in under a day is so special to me.  I’m almost speechless.  From the fans that have bought tickets, to all of the sponsors – without whom none of this is possible – and everyone who has reached out to us expressing their excitement…all I can say is thank-you.’

With such a tremendous response, event organizers and the Town of St. Paul have worked together and are excited to announce a release of a limited number of tickets, going on sale this afternoon at 1:00pm.

Brett Kissel is currently touring in support of his sophomore album, Pick Me Up, a Juno-nominated album this year for Country Album of the Year. Brett’s next single, Cool With That, will be released next week.

Opening for Brett will be local favorites Route 66 and multiple JUNO & CCMA Award-winner, Charlie Major, with a special guest appearance from Canada’s fiddling sensation and local hero, Calvin Vollrath.
