On Saturday, July 6, Canadian country rising star Brett Kissel will be headlining the Country Bike Festival in Tours, France.
The Country Bike Festival in Tours, population 136,000, is one of Europe's largest music festivals, and has hosted Canadian country and rock stars for the past 5 years, each July. Festival goers will experience NASCAR races, line-dancing, and live entertainment at this one-of-a-kind weekend.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Brett (Kissel) come and perform for us. The crowd will love him!" commented Franck Bouchard - festival organizer.
This will be Brett's first ever headlining performance in Europe, and his first concert in France. In 2009, Brett performed at the World University Games in Brussels, Belgium, but when asked about the opportunity to headline in Tours, Brett said, "I'm honored to have been asked to perform."
Brett will be sharing the stage with fellow Canadian headliner Bobby Wills who has enjoyed two top 10 hits on country radio this past year.
"I'm a big fan of Bobby's, and I'm happy to be performing alongside him. He's a great talent." said Brett.
In past years, the Country Bike Festival has enjoyed such Canadian acts as Gord Bamford, Jake Mathews, and Duane Steele. The weekend-long festival also hosts a rock night that has featured the likes of ZZ Top in past years.
